The S-CON chair was introduced by Art Collection at Orgatec in 1998 and has been in production since April 1999. It was designed by Lepper, Schmidt, and Sommerlade an up and coming firm from Kassel, Germany with experience in home furnishings, store space and office seating design. The goal of the S-CON design was to create an aesthetically functional conference chair through the use of a mix of materials. The S-CON chair is now available in North America through Haworth's European Collection offering.
This general use seating line is ideal for short-term siting locations like conference rooms, corporate lobbies, executive office and side seating. The S-CON family of chairs includes a high-back desk chair, mid-back desk chair and a mid-back sled base side chair. Key features of this seating line include: use of black mesh for the seat back or as an accent to the seat back; unique wood or leather inserts which blend into the arm cap frame; and matte aluminum finish on all metal surfaces.
Since the S-CON seating line is manufactured in Germany, 12-20 week lead times are required. |
